MANCOSA (Management College of Southern Africa) is a private higher education institution based in Durban, South Africa, established in 1995 as a post-apartheid empowerment institution offering accessible management education. From 1995 to 2000 it delivered programmes in partnership with Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College before gaining UK Quality Assurance Agency recognition in 2000 and accreditation from South Africa's Higher Education Quality Committee in 2002; it introduced its first bachelor's degree in 2004. MANCOSA is registered with South Africa's Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) as a Private Higher Education Institution under the Higher Education Act, 1997 (as amended), registration number 2000/HE07/003. Its programmes are accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE) and recorded with the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) on the National Qualifications Framework. MANCOSA is a member institution of Honoris United Universities, described as the first and largest pan-African private higher education network.
