Overview
The Google Analytics Certification (GA4) is a free assessment offered through Google’s Skillshop platform as the capstone of its Analytics Academy learning path. Before attempting the certification exam, learners typically work through a sequence of GA4 courses covering how to set up and configure a GA4 property, how to read and manage GA4 reports, how to go deeper into GA4 data through exploration and analysis, and how to connect GA4 with other Google tools and data sources.
It’s aimed at marketers, analysts, and website or app owners who already have some hands-on exposure to Google Analytics and want to formally validate their ability to use GA4 in practice – the exam is weighted toward practical tasks such as locating specific reports, configuring core features, and correctly interpreting GA4 metrics, rather than abstract theory.
The certification exam is multiple-choice and timed, with a high pass mark required. Successful candidates earn a Google Analytics Certification credential they can display on their Skillshop and LinkedIn profiles.
