AgriSETA Bursary (Discretionary Grant Funding)

Overview

AgriSETA funds agriculture-related bursaries for South African students through its annual Discretionary Grant window (1 August – 15 September), though applications must be submitted by an accredited training provider or employer on the student's behalf rather than by individuals directly.

What it covers

Reported funding levels of up to roughly R39,750 per year for undergraduate study and up to roughly R63,600 per year for postgraduate study, though exact amounts are set annually in AgriSETA's Learning Programme Rates

Eligibility

South African citizens enrolled full-time or part-time in agriculture-related qualifications at accredited institutions. Important: AgriSETA does not accept bursary applications directly from individuals – applications must be submitted on the student's behalf by an accredited AgriSETA training provider or an AgriSETA levy-paying employer during the annual window

Required documents

Certified copy of South African ID, proof of registration or acceptance at a recognised institution, latest academic transcripts or matric certificate, motivational letter, proof of household income/financial need, and a CV (compiled by the applying training provider or employer)
