Christ Seminary was founded in 1997 in Polokwane, Limpopo, as a ministry of Christ Baptist Church, and has since trained pastors and church leaders from across Africa. It operates from the church's premises at 375 Marshall Street, Flora Park, Polokwane, and specializes in theological and pastoral training, combining systematic and historical theology, pastoral care, Biblical languages, and practical ministry with hands-on church internships and mentoring. The seminary is registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training as a private higher education institution (Registration No. 2008/HE08/001), approved under Section 53(1)(b) of the Higher Education Act and Regulation 22(c) of the Regulations for the Registration of Private Higher Education Institutions, 2002, and its Diploma in Theology and Bachelor of Theology qualifications are accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE). Instruction is contact-based (on-campus) and delivered in English, with hostel accommodation available to students.
