The College of the Transfiguration (CoTT) is a private Anglican theological college located in Makhanda (formerly Grahamstown), Eastern Cape. It was established in 1993 through the amalgamation of two older institutions, St Bede's College (Mthatha, founded 1879) and St Paul's College (Grahamstown, founded 1902), and it occupies St Paul's former campus. It is the only provincial residential theological college of the Anglican Church of Southern Africa, specialising in priestly formation, ministry training and theology education delivered through a residential community of prayer, study and communal life. The college is registered as a Non-Profit Company (registration no. 2006/000074/08) and is registered as a private higher education institution with South Africa's Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET registration certificate no. 2013/HE08/002).
