Cranefield College is a private higher education institution registered with the South African Department of Education in 2000 under section 54(1)(c) of the Higher Education Act, 1997 (Registration Certificate No. 2000/HE 07/010), making it one of the first private higher education institutions registered in South Africa. Its administrative campus is Cranefield House in The Willows, Pretoria, Gauteng, with an auditorium/conference facility in Midrand, Gauteng; programmes are delivered via online distance learning with live and recorded classes. The college specialises in leadership and management education, with a particular focus on project, programme, portfolio and value chain management, and business administration, framed around the 'Industry 4.0 economy'. Its qualifications are registered on the National Qualifications Framework (SAQA) and accredited by the Council on Higher Education's Higher Education Quality Committee, and the institution holds ISO 9001 certification from the British Standards Institute (BSI). Founder and Principal is Professor Pieter Steyn.
