Life Healthcare Group (Pty) Ltd

Gauteng

The nursing/healthcare education arm tied to Life Healthcare Group (Pty) Ltd operates under the brand names 'Life College of Learning' (also marketed as 'Life Healthcare Nursing College' / 'Life Health Colleges'), distinct from the Life Healthcare hospital operations themselves. It was established by the Life Healthcare Group in 1998 to contribute to South Africa's pool of nursing and health-science skills, and has been registered as a Private Higher Education Institution with the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) since 2008. The College is accredited as a Nursing Education Institution with the South African Nursing Council (SANC), is accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE) and DHET, and is affiliated with Nelson Mandela University. It holds ISO 9001:2015 certification for quality management. The College operates seven learning centres across South Africa (Springs, Roodepoort, Pretoria, Durban, East London, Port Elizabeth and Cape Town), plus a classroom in Mossel Bay, and has over 1,000 students enrolled. Training combines academic coursework with hands-on clinical practice within Life Healthcare's private hospital network. This is a genuine, separately registered education institution rather than simply the hospital group operating under a different name.
