Mukhanyo Theological College NPC is a multi-denominational, evangelical Christian theological college whose lead campus is in KwaMhlanga, Mpumalanga, roughly an hour's drive northeast of Pretoria. Founded in the early 1990s (informal training traces back to the 1980s, with the college beginning formal classes in 1994 with five students), Mukhanyo has grown into a decentralised training network with campuses in KwaMhlanga, Pretoria, Johannesburg, Durban, Potchefstroom, Rustenburg and Cape Town, plus locally facilitated learning sites elsewhere in Africa. Its mission is to equip pastors and other Christians for ministry through biblical and theological education, delivered via in-service, semi-residential and facilitated distance modes. The college is registered with South Africa's Department of Higher Education and Training as a private higher education institution under the Higher Education Act, 1997 (registration certificate number 2009/HE08/002), and is separately registered as a non-profit company (2003/014401/08), a Public Benefit Organisation (PBO 930035173, Section 18A tax-exempt status) and a Non-Profit Organisation (NPO 214-505). Mukhanyo is multi-denominational, drawing students and faculty from a range of evangelical church traditions rather than being affiliated with a single denomination.

  • Bachelor of Theology Honours – NQF Level 8, minimum 120 credits, 1 year (postgraduate, follows a Bachelor's or equivalent degree), SAQA ID 90739
  • Master of Theology (ThM) – offered in partnership with Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary (PRTS)
