The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) 2026 TVET Trimester 3 application window closes on 23 August 2026 — two days from now. If you’re eligible and haven’t applied yet, do it now.
The window opened on 14 August 2026, giving applicants a ten-day period to apply for Trimester 3 TVET funding. This is separate from NSFAS’s general 2027 application window, which is expected to open later in the year — do not wait for that window if you qualify for Trimester 3 funding now.
How to apply
Apply only through the official NSFAS website or myNSFAS portal. NSFAS does not charge a fee to apply, and does not use agents or third parties to process applications.
Watch out for scams
As with every NSFAS window, expect fake “assistance” accounts on social media and WhatsApp promising faster approval or guaranteed funding for a fee. Report and ignore these — apply directly at nsfas.org.za.
