StudyTrust, which administers bursary and scholarship programmes on behalf of several major South African and international companies, has confirmed that its 2027 academic year application cycle is open. Applications opened on 1 June 2026 and close on 30 September 2026 for all StudyTrust-administered corporate bursaries, including those from Standard Bank Group, Investec, Sage, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and the FirstRand Empowerment Foundation.
Each bursary has its own eligibility criteria covering fields such as commerce, engineering, computer science and information technology, so students should check the specific requirements for each opportunity before applying.
What this means for students: all applications for these bursaries are submitted directly through StudyTrust’s own online application platform, not through the individual companies. Only South African citizens qualify, and StudyTrust never works through intermediaries or external organisations.
