King Sabata Dalindyebo (KSD) TVET College was established in 2002 through the merger of three former technical colleges – Mapuzi, Mthatha and Ngcobo. Its central administration occupies the former Cicira College of Education site in Mthatha, within the King Sabata Dalindyebo Local Municipality. The college operates seven campuses – Mthatha, Libode, Mapuzi, Mngazi, Ngcobo, Ntabozuko and Zimbane – serving the deep rural OR Tambo, Amathole and Chris Hani district municipalities, an area the college states holds around 28% of the Eastern Cape's population and some of its highest youth unemployment. No published enrolment figure was found. Under its vision of being "A TVET Centre of Excellence," the college offers a broad NCV and Report 191/NATED curriculum spanning business, engineering and utility studies, and its students have represented the college in WorldSkills competitions.
