Overview
Introduction to Large Language Models is a short, entry-level Google Cloud Skills Boost course that explains what large language models are and how they work, walks through real-world use cases for LLMs, and introduces prompt tuning techniques for improving model output. It also points learners toward Google’s own tools for building generative AI applications.
It’s designed for complete beginners to generative AI – business users, students, or technical staff who want a plain-language grounding in LLM concepts, rather than a deep technical course in model architecture or training.
The course takes roughly an hour to complete and sits within Google’s Gemini Enterprise Agent Ready (GEAR) programme. Learners earn a skill badge on completion, with a Challenge Lab option for those confident enough to skip the lessons and go straight to the assessment.
