Overview

The Department of Tourism bursary programme supports South African students pursuing qualifications in tourism, hospitality and related supporting fields, from diploma through to doctoral level.

The bursary is renewed annually for the duration of the approved qualification, subject to satisfactory academic performance.

Who Can Apply

South African students accepted for full-time diploma, degree, honours, master's or doctoral study in an approved tourism-related field

Supported Study Fields

Tourism management, hospitality management, event management, travel and tourism, conservation, and related supporting fields such as business, law, accounting, communications and computer science

What the Bursary Covers

Full cost of study for the approved qualification, subject to satisfactory academic performance each year
