Overview

The Funza Lushaka Bursary Programme is a multi-year government initiative that funds the full cost of study for students who commit to becoming teachers at public schools in South Africa, with priority given to scarce-skills subjects.

Recipients must teach at a public school for the same number of years for which they received funding, in line with a Department of Basic Education placement.

Teacher education, with priority given to Mathematics, Science, Technology and South African official/indigenous languages

Grade 12 results or equivalent
