Eduvos traces its origins to 1979 with the founding of the Computer Training Institute (CTI), which partnered with the Midrand Graduate Institute (MGI, founded 1989) in 2006 before the two merged in 2011 to form the Pearson Institute of Higher Education (PIHE). Following Pearson's 2020 disposal of its stake to a consortium led by Stellenbosch Graduate Institute and EXEO Capital, the institution was rebranded as Eduvos in 2021. It now operates 12 campuses across South Africa (Bedfordview, Bloemfontein, Cape Town – Mowbray, Cape Town – Tygervalley, Durban/Umhlanga, East London, Mbombela/Nelspruit, Midrand, Nelson Mandela Bay, Potchefstroom, Pretoria and Vaal), offering over 20 qualifications through five faculties: Applied Science, Commerce, Humanities and Arts, Law, and Technology (Information Technology). Eduvos is a registered private higher education institution with the DHET (registration certificate number 2001/HE07/008), its qualifications are accredited by the Council on Higher Education's Higher Education Quality Committee (HEQC) and registered on the NQF by SAQA, and the institution is additionally accredited by the British Accreditation Council (BAC).
