Flavius Mareka TVET College is a public TVET college in the Free State, established in 2000 through the merger of Sasolburg Technical College, Kroonstad Technical College and Mphohadi College of Education, and named after Flavius Mareka, a figure in education, politics and culture in the Kroonstad area. The college operates three campuses — Sasolburg (with separate Engineering and Business Studies sites), Kroonstad and Mphohadi — and extends learnership and skills training to smaller Free State towns such as Heilbron, Parys, Koppies and Villiers. Reported enrolment includes approximately 9,108 full-time and 3,309 part-time students, with about 11,718 students in R191 (NATED) programmes and 699 in NC(V) programmes, plus 425 in skills/learnership programmes. It offers 8 learnerships and 6 skills programmes alongside its NCV and NATED offerings in engineering, business, IT and office administration.
