Northern Cape Community Education and Training (CET) College is a public post-school institution operating under the national Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET), headquartered at 19 Oliver Road, Klisserville, Kimberley. Like South Africa's eight other CET colleges, it was created under the framework set out in the 2013 White Paper for Post-School Education and Training, which provided for community education and training colleges to be formed from the incorporation of thousands of existing adult education and training centres nationally (the sector formally became CET colleges from 2019 under the Continuing Education and Training Act, 2006). The college delivers teaching and learning through a network of Community Learning Centres and satellite sites spread across all five Northern Cape districts — Frances Baard, John Taolo Gaetsewe, Namakwa, Pixley ka Seme and ZF Mgcawu. Its own materials cite differing network sizes at different points (66 Community Learning Centres per a principal's message, 80 satellite sites per a separate centre-list document), suggesting the footprint has changed over time or is inconsistently updated on the site. The college serves out-of-school youth and adults who lack basic education or a Grade 12 qualification, offering a second chance at education, skills development and progression toward TVET colleges or university.
