The Western Cape Community Education and Training College (WCCETC) is a public post-school institution headquartered in Bellville, Western Cape, which its own website states was established in 2015 as a Higher Education Learning Institution. It falls within South Africa's national network of CET colleges, formed when public adult/community learning centres were brought under provincial administration pursuant to the Continuing Education and Training Act, 2006 (as amended); the site does not itself cite the Act or name predecessor institutions.   • GETC-ABET Level 4 (NQF Level 1) – General Education and Training Certificate for adults, 120 credits: Fundamental component (Language, Literacy and Communication in Afrikaans/English/isiXhosa; Mathematical Literacy or Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences), Core component (Life Orientation), and Elective component drawn from Academic Learning Areas (Arts and Culture; Human and Social Sciences; Economic and Management Sciences; Natural Sciences; Technology; Additional Languages) and Vocational Learning Areas (Travel and Tourism; Information Communication Technology; Early Childhood Development; Wholesale and Retail; Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises; Ancillary Health Care; Applied Agriculture and Agricultural Technology)
  • Amended Senior Certificate / Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) for adults 21+ (18-20 in exceptional cases) and out-of-school youth – subjects include English FAL, Afrikaans, isiXhosa, Mathematical Literacy, Life Orientation (compulsory), Human Social Science, Ancillary Health Care, Travel and Tourism, Small Medium and Micro Enterprises, Information Communication Technology, Wholesale and Retail, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Business Studies, Computer Applications Technology, Religion Studies (minimum 6 subjects, including two official languages)
  • Occupational Qualification: Ancillary Health (offered at select CLCs, e.g. Damba, Eerste River)
