Overview
This interactive HP LIFE course teaches the basics of protecting digital information and devices from common threats. Rather than a straight lecture, it puts you in the role of an entrepreneur preparing to launch a business, and has you make a series of decisions that affect that business’s information and computer security as you go. Along the way you learn everyday cybersecurity terms such as phishing and malware, and how attackers use social engineering to trick people into handing over confidential information.
It’s aimed at small business owners, entrepreneurs, and anyone who wants a grounding in cybersecurity basics without a technical background, since the course assumes no prior IT or security knowledge.
By the end, you’ll be able to identify common threats to your data and systems and put basic protective measures in place. It’s free, self-paced, and awards an HP LIFE certificate of completion.
