Overview

INSETA's Insurance Sector Student Fund (ISSF) provides bursaries to South Africans studying insurance-related fields such as actuarial science, risk management and insurance law, covering tuition, accommodation and a monthly allowance for successful applicants.

What it covers

Tuition fees at public universities, universities of technology and TVET colleges, prescribed textbooks and study materials, accommodation and meals for qualifying full-time students, and a monthly allowance for study-related expenses

Eligibility

South African citizens aged approximately 18-35 who have completed or are completing matric (or are already enrolled) and have been accepted at a recognised public tertiary institution; strong results in Mathematics, Accounting or Business Studies are an advantage; proof of financial need is required, with preference given to applicants from disadvantaged communities

Required documents

Certified copy of ID, matric certificate or latest academic results, proof of registration or acceptance letter from institution, proof of household income, and a completed ISSF application form
